Fire breaks out in living room of Marsiling Crescent flat: 'There was a lot of white smoke'
Residents were evacuated after a fire broke out at Block 213 Marsiling Crescent on Saturday night (Nov 5).
Stomper Harmony said that when he reached home at around 10.30pm, he saw a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Red Rhino and three fire trucks.
"There was a lot of white smoke coming out from the lower level of the block," said the Stomper, who shared videos of the fire, showing the evacuated residents and SCDF vehicles at the scene.
"I hope everyone is safe."
In response to a Stomp query, SCDF said it was alerted to the fire at about 10.10pm.
The fire involved the contents of a living room in a third-storey flat and was extinguished using a water jet.
"There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation," said SCDF.
