Fire breaks out at rubbish chute of Choa Chu Kang block
A fire broke out at a rubbish chute at Block 254 Choa Chu Kang Avenue 2 on Monday night (June 22).
Stomper Sinling alerted Stomp to the incident and shared videos of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers extinguishing flames coming from the chute.
In response to a Stomp query, an SCDF spokesman said they were alerted to the fire at 10.25pm.
"The fire involved the contents of a rubbish chute," the spokesman said.
"SCDF extinguished the fire using a hose reel."
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
