Filipino helper runs 59km for 59th National Day and charity, cheered on by employer and fellow maids
She had done it in 2022.
After running 57km for celebrate Singapore's 57th birthday two years ago, Stomper Jeanette did it again this year's National Day - but with a little difference.
Apart from the adding 2km to her run, this time, the Filipino helper also helped to raise money for the Domestic Employees Welfare Fund.

When Jeanette completed her ultra-marathon at East Coat Park in 6hr 41min on Aug 4, she was cheered on by her fellow volunteers from the Centre for Domestic Employees (CDE).
The CDE is a non-governmental organisation set up by the National Trades Union Congress in 2016 with the aim to assist all domestic employees in Singapore, both local and foreign, if they face employment-related issues.

The CDE posted on Facebook that as Ms Cariso crossed the finish line, the cheers were inspiring.
"Some volunteers also joined Jeanette for short stretches during her run," added the CDE.
"The atmosphere was filled with emotion as Jeanette's incredible effort touched many hearts. Among the supporters were Ms Ines Caby, Mr Guillaume Pichot and their children, who cheered Jeanette on."
Ms Caby and Mr Pichot are Ms Cariso's employers, who both work at Decathlon Singapore.

In a video posted on TikTok, Ms Caby said that Jeanette has been working for them since March.
"We are really happy with her," said the French mother of two.
"She's really taking good care of the children. She's actually a wonderful helper for us and we support her in the race."
The Stomper posted on Facebook: "I am truly blessed to have very supportive employers like them.
"Mam Ines and Sir Guillaume are not only supporting my run on Sunday, but they also sponsoring me during training by providing sports stuff and foods (isotonic, protein drinks and sports bar).
"Very thankful to them for appreciating my work."
On National Day itself, the Filipina ran a less ambitious but still appropriate 5.9km with her employer's kids at East Coast Park.
