He claimed the neighbour was breeding them.

A Fernvale resident who is beset by bird droppings said that his neighbour has been letting pigeons lay eggs in the service yard.

Stomper Casey shared a photo showing what appears to be eggs in the service yard of the flat below his.

"My downstairs neighbour is not stopping the pigeons from breeding in their service yard." said the Stomper, who added that the neighbour is not feeding the birds.

"Those pigeons would fly into my service yard. The open space is full of bird droppings. It's very gross and disgusting."

He told Stomp he has informed the town council.

"They want to do cleaning but still need to coordinate with the neighbour below as they don't have windows to close."

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesperson for the Ang Mo Kio Town Council said it received feedback on pigeon droppings at a unit on the seventh storey of Block 468C Fernvale Link.

"Our property officer conducted an inspection and arranged for our conservancy worker to carry out the necessary cleaning works at the affected unit. Additionally, we have informed our appointed contractor to paint the affected wall/ledge as a goodwill gesture to the resident," said the spokesperson.

"We would like to clarify that during our inspection, no signs of pigeon eggs were found."
