Hordes of fans clamoured for a chance to see Filipino actor Ian Veneracion at Lucky Plaza, resulting in long queues and uncontrollable crowds.

In the early afternoon on April 6, Lucky Plaza was swarmed by fans of the actor, who visited Singapore to celebrate the local launch of his fragrance brand.

A Stomper shared a TikTok video of the ordeal, showing a long queue at the outside of the building, with security doing their best to instruct the lines of people to move forward.

Security can be heard shouting "move forward!" to a small degree of success.

Another TikTok captures the sheer magnitude of the majority female crowd, screaming and queuing both inside and outside the building, waiting to see their idol.

The video also shows the actor signing belongings and taking pictures with fans, all while security attempts to control the mobs of adoring fans.

Must have been a very stressful day for security.
