Popular American Twitch streamer Emiru was accosted by a man at TwitchCon 2025 during a meet-and-greet session with fans.
A video of the incident - which reportedly took place on Oct 17 - posted online shows the streamer interacting with a male fan when another man, in a grey plaid shirt, approached Emiru.
The man embraced her and appeared to lean in for a kiss before a security staff member stepped in and shoved him away.

The 27-year-old streamer, whose real name is Emily Beth Schunk, later said in an Oct 19 post on X that she was disappointed in how the security staff at TwitchCon "did not react and let the guy walk away".
Emiru, who has nearly two million followers on streaming platform Twitch, added: "The security guard in the clip who reacts is my own security... My friend told me Twitch security were joking afterwards about how they did not even see what happened."
She added that this was not the first time someone has assaulted her at an event and that this would be the last time she would be attending the streaming platform's convention.
In an X post on Oct 18, Twitch said that "law enforcement and event security were on-site and responded to the incident".
It added that the man was "immediately blocked" from returning to the TwitchCon premises, in contrast to Emiru's account.
According to Emiru, the man was allowed to walk away from the meet and greet and was not caught until several hours after the assault.
"None of the TwitchCon staff came to ask what happened or if I was okay... I have no idea what anyone hired to keep the event safe was doing," she added.
TwitchCon is a semi-annual convention organised by Twitch where attendees can game, network, meet popular streamers and join panel discussions.
The convention, which was inaugurated in 2015, drew more than 10,000 attendees for its 2024 iteration in Rotterdam.
