ECP pile-up involving 6 cars and 3 taxis causes massive jam, 3 taken to hospital

Three people were taken to the hospital after an accident involving six cars and three taxis on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Oct 3 evening.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 5.15pm to the accident on the ECP exit towards Changi.

A 67-year-old male taxi driver, a 76-year-old male taxi passenger and a 34-year-old female car driver were conscious when taken to the hospital.

Stomper Susan shared a video and photos of the pile-up.

"A massive jam was caused by this accident In front of Hawaii Towers," said the Stomper.

"So tragic!"

A dashcam video of the accident was posted online.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp it was alerted at about 5.20pm to the accident along ECP towards Changi Airport after the Fort Road exit.

SCDF took three people to Raffles Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
