Driver taken to hospital after Audi crashes in SGH carpark, Stomper told to delete photos he took of car
A man was taken to hospital after his car crashed in a Singapore General Hospital (SGH) carpark on June 17.
Stomper Bernard shared photos of the black Audi being taken away by a tow truck with the driver's side door separated from the vehicle.
"You can see the broken railings where the car reversed and fell about 4m from the upper-level carpark," said the Stomper.
"The car was badly damaged with the driver's door completely ripped off.
"It happened to plunge into a lot that I normally use while waiting for my wife to complete her medical appointment! Hence, my strong interest in the incident."
He said that after he took the photos, a woman asked him to delete them from his phone.
"Thinking she was security or police personnel, I did so. Later, I found out she wasn't. So I undeleted the photos," recounted the Stomper.
"I do not think she has the authority to ask me to delete a photo shot in public."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident at about 8.30am where a car was believed to have self-skidded along Hospital Crescent.
The 44-year-old driver was conscious when taken to the hospital.
He is also assisting with ongoing police investigations.
