A driver was told off by a man at a pedestrian crossing in front of young students near Yangzheng Primary School on May 14.

The short altercation occurred at 1.30pm, when the driver's car stopped halfway into a crossing at the Serangoon Avenue 3 school zone, blocking the path of pedestrians.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to video footage posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page shows a Hyundai Kona stopping at the crossing while the traffic light is still green.

When the light turns amber, the driver accelerates forward slowly, only stopping when the car is blocking half of the crossing.

A swarm of primary students begins to cross the road, and the man, wearing a black shirt and white shorts, walks ahead of them.

He proceeds to tell the driver off loudly, turning the heads of the young pedestrians who are walking around the front of the car.

Netizens have commented on the video, calling the driver 'selfish' and 'brainless', even urging the students to step on top of the car.

One user commented: "Students, I hope you see my comment. Please walk over the car bonnet!"
