A Toyota Prius driver was caught on camera shoving a security guard after a dispute at Swiss Club Road on Aug 11 evening.
Stomper JC shared dashcam video of incident which took place at the entrance of the Swiss Club in Bukit Timah at around 6.20pm.
The video shows the Stomper turning into the Swiss Club and a white Toyota Prius had stopped beside the guardhouse in front of him.
"I saw the white car driver arguing with the guard," recounted the Stomper.
"Then the white car fella made a U-turn and stopped diagonally across the road, blocking the traffic both ways."
The Stomper sounded his horn along with the vehicles trying to leave the Swiss Club but were blocked by the Prius.
"He refused to budge," said the Stomper.
Instead, the driver opened his car door, shouted a vulgarity and closed back the door.
Then came another blast of horns from the vehicles the Prius was blocking.
The Stomper: "I went out of my car and asked him why he was blocking the road. He said the guard refused entry. So he blocked the road."
By then, the Prius driver had also got out of his car to speak with the Stomper.
The guard then told the driver to "go out" instead of parking there. The driver blamed the guard for not letting him enter.
The guard retorted: "Cannot. Why? Who are you to go in?"
As the verbal exchange became more heated, the driver shouted a vulgarity at the guard and walked towards him before shoving him in the stomach.
Confronting the driver, the guard repeatedly asked: "Why you touch me?"
In response, the driver shoved the guard in the chest.
After letting out another vulgarity, the driver got into his Prius and drove off as the guard took note of the car number.
The Stomper can be heard exclaiming "bastard" before the video ends.
The Swiss Club general manager told Stomp that the driver was not refused entry.
What happened was the driver did not stop at the guardhouse to inform the security guard that he was picking up a passenger.
"Hence, our officer did not open the gantry and asked him to reverse his car to speak to him," said the general manager. "That's the starting of the video."
In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed a report was lodged, adding that investigations are ongoing.
