Driver arrested after allegedly running red light and sending motorcyclist flying at Stamford Road
A 37-year-old man was arrested for dangerous driving causing hurt after he got into an accident with a motorcyclist on Dec 15.
The police told Stomp that they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Raffles Avenue and Stamford Road at 11.20am.
The car driver was arrested and the 37-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to hospital.
Videos posted by Facebook pages Singapore roads accident.com and SG Road Vigilante show the motorcyclist being sent flying.
Many netizens called for enforcement action to be taken against the car driver as he had allegedly run the red light.
One user commented: "No excuse for this kind of driving. Driver needs to be punished heavily."
Police investigations are ongoing.
