Driver and passenger flee after Tanjong Pagar accident involving taxi and two cars
A driver fled the scene after a hit-and-run accident involving two cars and a taxi at the junction of Tanjong Pagar Road and Cook Street on June 26.
Stomper Lindy, who witnessed the incident, told Stomp: "The driver of the white car hit two cars, took his bag and ran.
"He left the car unattended.
"He didn't pull the handbrake and just hopped out of the car, letting the vehicle roll in the opposite direction and causing it to knock into a blue taxi."
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 6.30pm.
"A driver of one of the cars and his passenger had left the scene before the police's arrival," a police spokesperson said.
"Efforts to trace the duo are underway.
"A 68-year-old male taxi driver and another 60-year-old male car driver were conveyed conscious to the hospital."
Police investigations are ongoing.
