Double-decker bus overtakes vehicles on PIE road shoulder, Tower Transit apologises
A Tower Transit bus captain was caught on video overtaking vehicles using the road shoulder along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE).
Stomper Anonymous alerted Stomp to a video posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page of the incident that happened on Sept 17 at about 7.48pm.
The footage shows the double-decker bus service 966 veering onto the shoulder to pass a slower-moving vehicle.
Although the bus made a risky manoeuvre, netizens slammed the driver of the vehicle in front of the bus for 'road hogging'.
In response to a Stomp query, Tower Transit Singapore apologised for the incident and said the matter has been referred to the relevant departments for necessary investigation with the bus captain.
