Toppled containers at storage yard in Penjuru Lane hang precariously over forklift

Stomper Sharon came across some containers which had toppled over at a container storage yard on 25 Penjuru Lane, on Monday (July 24) at around 11.45am.

She quickly took some photos and sent them to Stomp.

From the photos, two of the containers appeared to have toppled over, hanging precariously over a forklift below. 

In response to Stomp's media query on the incident, a spokesman for the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said in an official statement :

"MOM was alerted to a workplace incident inside a container storage yard located at 25 Penjuru Lane and we are currently investigating.

"No one was injured in the incident."

On behalf of the management team from Allied Group, Mr Benson Kong provided Stomp with the following response on Jul 28:

"We will like to thank the attention of the community for this matter. Following a joint risk assessment of the situation, the containers were stacked safely back into place. The containers were prevented from toppling thanks to the swift intervention by the depot operations and safety team. This was completed within 30 minutes of the incident without any injuries or property damages."
