It might seem like a single mindless act, but comes with burdensome consequences to many.

Stomper A was stumped to see a bedframe left on the sixth floor of Block 525 Bedok North Street on Jan 15, at about 4.20pm.

The metal bedframe can be seen obstructing the stairway.

The Stomper said: "I don't know which unit from the sixth floor did this, putting the bedframe in such a way that it's blocking the staircase. This is very dangerous and a fire hazard."

In response to a Stomp query, Aljunied-Hougang Town Council said its conservancy cleaner for the block noticed the bedframe at the void deck during his routine cleaning in the morning.

The bedframe has since been brought to the bin centre.

A spokesperson added: "The town council advises residents to refrain from placing bulky items at staircase areas as they obstruct what are fire escape routes."
