A resident declared Queenstown the "dirtiest estate" after alleging that Hungry Ghost Festival offerings were left uncleared for weeks.

Stomper Anonymous first spotted the offerings left behind along Stirling Road, between Blocks 158 and 162, on Aug 23.

She told Stomp that there were still uncleared offerings on the pavement as of Oct 9.

"How dangerous! In Singapore, can people legally display their prayer items like this on the walkway and pose a threat to the public?" she said.

The Stomper, who had been consistently photographing the containers of water and food by the roadside for weeks, raised concerns about public safety.

She noted that leftover offerings could attract pests, pose hazards for pedestrians, particularly the elderly and those using wheelchairs, and create hygiene issues.

"Today still there! Water in the containers since last month! What is going on?

"Queenstown can be listed as the dirtiest estate," said the Stomper.

Stomp understands the area has since been cleaned up.

Anonymous hopes such incidents can be avoided in the future, with residents being mindful of leaving offerings properly disposed of.
