Much ado about bak chor mee.

A diner took to Facebook to complain about the 'pathetic food' she paid $4.80 for at Koufu food court at Singapore General Hospital.

According to user Djkilonova Glam, the noodle soup that she ordered came with only "one small fishball and one small meatball".

She also wrote in her May 27 post: "How pathetic can it be!!!"

Koufu had commented on the post, apologising for the diner's "unpleasant experience". The food court operator also said it was looking into the case.

According to Shin Min Daily News, two employees said the stall's bak chor mee typically came with one fishball, one meatball, minced meat, meat slices and mushrooms.

They also told Shin Min that they did not receive any feedback from the diner at the time of the incident. They only learnt about it when a Koufu manager, after seeing the Facebook post, came to find out what had happened.

Hence, they were also unable to confirm the diner's date and time of purchase.

"We don't know whether she is complaining about the lack of ingredients or if we prepared the wrong dish," the staff added.

"But from the photos, she might have already stirred the noodles, causing the minced meat and meat slices to be buried underneath, making it seem like there weren't that many ingredients on the surface."
