Did you receive this WhatsApp photo of 'flood' in Thomson Rd area? It’s an old picture

Stomp received several photo alerts with regards to the following image of cars submerged in water due to “heavy flooding” in the Thomson Road area -- which has been circulating WhatsApp since early this afternoon (Jan 24).
While this image was indeed captured in Singapore, the Stomp team did a quick Google Images search to verify and were directed to a flooding article by The Straits Times dated Sep 5th 2013.
This image was taken at ACS(I) during the 2013 flash floods which were caused by the frequent heavy thundery showers then.
If you have received the image, please do take note that this is an old image, and did not take place today (Jan 24).
