A food delivery rider riding a power-assisted bicycle (PAB) was taken to hospital after an accident with a car in Hougang on the evening of Sept 20.

Stomper Sarah shared a photo of the accident's aftermath with the e-bike toppled in front of a white Toyota car.

A man can be seen squatting next to someone lying on the side of the road nearby.

"I witnessed an accident where a car hit a Grab rider," recounted the Stomper.

"The impact flung the rider to the side of the road, and several passersby quickly rushed forward to help.

"It was a shocking sight and a reminder for everyone to be more careful on the road.

"Please drive safely, don't speed, and always watch out for oncoming vehicles and riders. A little caution can prevent serious accidents."
