Witness shocked to see delivery rider flung off e-bike hit by car in Hougang
A food delivery rider riding a power-assisted bicycle (PAB) was taken to hospital after an accident with a car in Hougang on the evening of Sept 20.
Stomper Sarah shared a photo of the accident's aftermath with the e-bike toppled in front of a white Toyota car.
A man can be seen squatting next to someone lying on the side of the road nearby.
"I witnessed an accident where a car hit a Grab rider," recounted the Stomper.
"The impact flung the rider to the side of the road, and several passersby quickly rushed forward to help.
"It was a shocking sight and a reminder for everyone to be more careful on the road.
"Please drive safely, don't speed, and always watch out for oncoming vehicles and riders. A little caution can prevent serious accidents."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 7.30pm to the accident along Hougang Avenue 9 towards Hougang Street 61.
The 47-year-old male PAB rider was conscious when taken to the hospital, added the police.
The 43-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
