Delivery rider allegedly turns aggressive and shouts at pedestrian who said F-word
A Stomper was walking home in Toa Payoh when a delivery rider sped past him.
Taken aback, the Stomper muttered a vulgarity - which the rider heard, leading to a dispute between the two.
The incident occurred outside The Soup Spoon restaurant at HDB Hub on Jan 25, at around 9.30pm.
The Stomper recounted: "The GrabFood rider rode next to me at a fast speed while I was walking home at a pedestrian area. I said 'f***' under my breath.
"He proceeded to pull over and started yelling and threatening me. The police were called to the scene because he kept shouting. I didn't manage to take more photos or videos of him as I was giving my statement to the police.
"I informed the police that I'd drop the matter if he simply apologised for his aggression. How else would he have been able to hear me if he wasn't so close to me? He declined and continued to be aggressive so the police had to calm him down.
"There are too many incidents involving this type of riders now and they should be penalised."
