Cyclist slaps car bonnet, driver retaliates by driving into him
A driver got into a confrontation with two cyclists at Nathan Road in River Valley at around 5.50am.
Stomper Anonymous, who is acquainted with the driver of the camcar, shared the dashcam video footage, which was taken on March 23, 2024.
"The cyclists were hogging an entire lane, pursuing a car and were unhappy that they were overtaken," explained the Stomper.
In the video, the cyclists were seen attempting to block the car by stopping in the middle of the road.
Towards the end of the video, one of the cyclists slapped the bonnet of the car, and the driver moved forward and seemingly knocked over the cyclist.
"One of these jokers decided to go right in the middle of the road to block the car using his bicycle, despite it being very dangerous and the traffic light signalling for the car to go," said the Stomper.
"I was told the cyclists yelled at the driver, then gave chase. Couldn't make out what they were yelling, but they were aggressive and reckless."
According to the Stomper, police investigations started a year after the incident.
Stomp received confirmation from the police that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
