Cockroach at Sushi Express in Nex: SFA investigating
Even roaches like Japanese food, it seems.
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) is investigating after a cockroach was caught on camera at the Sushi Express outlet in Nex mall in Serangoon.
Stomper Chris shared a video of the insect crawling on and around the tableware beside the restaurant's food conveyor belt on Aug 13 at 12.56pm.
The Stomper was having lunch when he spotted the cockroaches.
"I only manage to capture one on camera, but a few more were crawling in all directions," recounted the Stomper.
Asked whether he continued eating, the Stomper said: "Of course not!"
In response to a Stomp response, SFA said it is investigating the matter.
The agency added: "While SFA puts in place and enforces the regulatory measures, food operators must play their part by adhering to good food hygiene and preparation practices.
"Food operators should also ensure their premises are clean and well-maintained."'
