Car skids and flips after another car runs red light at Yishun junction, woman taken to hospital

A 31-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, after a traffic accident in Yishun on Nov 27 caused a car to turn turtle.

A video of the accident posted on Facebook group Complaint Singapore shows a black car travelling straight through a traffic junction, when a light-coloured car collides with it.

The traffic light was red in the light-coloured car’s direction of travel, according to the video.

The black car is then seen skidding and then flipping over.

In response to queries, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Yishun Avenue 2 and Avenue 7, at around 8.45am.

A female driver was conscious when taken to the hospital, said police, adding that investigations are ongoing.
