A Chevrolet Orlando was caught on camera crashing through the roadside barrier at Pasir Ris Street 11 in the early morning of March 16.

Stomper The One shared dash cam footage showing the moment of impact.

"I was driving when this car suddenly came into my lane and crashed into the pavement," recounted the Stomper.

"When I came out from my vehicle, the driver had already opened his door and came out himself. I asked if he was okay. He said yes.

"I asked him what happened. He said brake failure.

"A minute later, a rider stopped by and called the police. A few residents came down as well to check on the driver because of the loud bang.

"When the ambulance arrived and I saw the driver was okay, I left the scene because I needed to send my worker back."

Another Stomper shared a video of the accident's aftermath, showing police vehicles at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 4am.

The car was believed to have "self-skidded" along Pasir Ris Street 11 towards Pasir Ris Street Drive 1, added the police.

The 24-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
