Car crashes into sheltered walkway after accident with taxi in Woodlands

A car and taxi were involved in an accident in Woodlands on Thursday morning (July 27).

Stomper Terry alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos of a car that had crashed into a sheltered walkway near a bus stop along Woodlands Street 32.

"The reckless driver rammed his car onto the footpath," said the Stomper.

"Luckily no pedestrians were at the sheltered walkway.

"The driver's son was left behind and the driver was nowhere to be seen."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a taxi in the vicinity of an open-air carpark at Block 341 Woodlands Avenue 1  at 6.45am.

No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.
