Car collides with motorcyclist in hit-and-run on CTE: 'My brother was left on road injured while driver fled'
A man fell off his motorcycle after a collision with a car on the Central Expressway (CTE) on the night of April 25.
Stompers Lau Lau and Jessie alerted Stomp to dashcam footage of the accident posted by Facebook user Brenda Wong, who is purportedly the sister of the motorcyclist.
She wrote that her brother was hit by the black vehicle at around 8.15pm while riding towards the city.
"The driver clearly saw him roll onto the ground, but didn't stop to check on him," said the Facebook user.
"My brother was left on the road injured while driver fled. We need to hold this person accountable."
In the video, the car can be seen veering into the motorcycle's lane, leading to the collision.
After stopping briefly, the car drove off, leaving the motorcyclist sitting on the road while his riderless bike crashed into the road divider as traffic continued to whizz by.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a hit-and-run accident at about 8.15pm.
The 27-year-old motorcyclist was conscious when taken to the hospital.
A 52-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations, which are ongoing.
