BYD runs red light in school zone at Simei
A BYD driver has received flak for running a red light in a school zone at Simei Street 3 on Oct 11.
Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to a video of the incident that was posted on SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.
In the video, the car exits Changkat Primary School and turns left onto Simei Street 3.
It then pauses before running the red light as schoolchildren are crossing the road.
Netizens slammed the driver for failing to stop at the red light.
"King of the road beating red lights every day," wrote one netizen.
Another Facebook user says that it might have been unintentional but said the driver was "blur max".
"[The] reason I avoid rushing at zebra crossings or traffic lights," wrote another.
In a similar incident, a Hyundai was seen running a red light at Choa Chu Kang on Oct 10.
The Hyundai is seen waiting behind another car to turn right at the junction.
The car then overtakes the car in front from the left to make a right turn despite the red arrow indicating right-turning vehicles need to stop.
Netizens called for the driver's license to be revoked.
