Update at 1pm:

The family said they had "cleared up the misunderstanding" with the restaurant on Jan 26 and settled their bill.

Original article:

A family of three have been called out for allegedly leaving a restaurant at Bugis Junction without paying their $86 bill.

Stomper Sarah alerted Stomp to a Facebook post by Hey! Yakiniku, which said the incident occurred at 12.36pm on Jan 25.

The post was accompanied by photos that show a man and a woman entering the yakiniku restaurant, and them dining with a young girl presumed to be their daughter.

Addressing the "family of three," the post said: "I hope you enjoyed your recent visit to Hey! Yakiniku. We noticed that the bill from your visit may have been intentionally left unsettled by exiting the back door hastily.

"The outstanding amount is $86 and you're welcome to settle it at your convenience. Please feel free to stop by the restaurant or contact us if you'd like to arrange payment another way.

"If there's been a misunderstanding or if you'd like to discuss this further, we'd be happy to assist.

"Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to hearing from you soon."

The post appears to have been removed sometime on the morning of Dec 27.
