Neighbour still harassing Buangkok resident over Ring cam despite 10 police reports, magistrate's complaint
It's all because of a camera.
A Buangkok resident is being harassed by his neighbour despite multiple complaints to the authorities.
Stomper G said this has been going on for more than a year.
"He does every thing possible to make my life difficult," alleged the resident about his neighbour.
"This is what he has done daily. He sprayed liquid at my door up to six times a day.

"He threw food at my door. Shined a laser into my flat.

"Pasted stickers on my Ring camera lens. Super glued the camera lens.

"Swept his rubbish to my door. Left stains on the floor in front of my door. He called the police to complain I threw toxic chemicals at his door after I washed his stains away.
"Calls me a f****t when he sees me and shows his middle fingers. He shows his middle finger when he leaves and returns home. I'm not even there. He shows it to my door."

The Stomper added he has photographic and video proof of everything.
"He has become more aggressive verbally. So in case he attacks or kills me, I'd like this on record," said the Stomper.
"I have four or five videos of him poking his joss sticks at me. He is not religious, but he would burn a joss stick whenever he sees my door open. Since October 2025, he seems to be cursing me."
The neighbour purportedly once explained to the Stomper: "Russian hackers can hack your Ring camera and film me in my house."
The Stomper said: "Earlier, he never had anything hanging on his door. As he got worse, he started hanging plastic strips, then plastic bags. Now it's aluminium packaging.
"He also wears water bottles on his feet."

The Stomper had complained to the town council when the harassment first started.
"They referred me to HDB immediately," said the resident.
"HDB spoke to him, told me he held some very strong opinions and asked me to make a police report.
"The investigating officer (IO) spoke to him, said there was something wrong with him and I should not interact with him. He is doing all this to get a reaction out of me. The IO told me to make a magistrate's complaint.
"The magistrate's complaint done, the court passed the case back to the police to investigate the truth of complaint. It was supposed to be completed in June. The case is still open.
"The police have asked me to complain to the town council and file a claim at the Community Disputes Resolution Tribunals, which I can't as the magistrate's complaint has not been closed."
The Stomper shared a list of the times that the police have been called, including twice by the neighbour.

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed that a report was lodged.
The resident told Stomp: "I do not know what else to do or who to contact.
"I have a magistrate's complaint, a POHA (Protection from Harassment Act), at least 10 police reports, complaints to the town council, HDB and MP. They just pushed it to someone else.
The Stomper recounted an incident on Nov 17: "I opened the door to go out and caught him 'praying' to me. So I said, if you pray to me, where's the offerings? No fruits ah?
"That set him off. He said, "F*** you, what do you want? Want to fight ah? Come la, come la.
"He's not scared. Neither does he care. I complain he leaves stains, he does it more. He purposely blasts his TV. I complain to the town council, he does it more."'
The Stomper added: "He told the MP's volunteers that I caught insect eggs and threw them at his flat. That's why my side of the corridor has no insects and his is full of them."
Town council's response
When contacted by Stomp, a spokesperson for the Ang Mo Kio Town Council said the town council was aware of the dispute between the two neighbours.
"Our property management team has been attending to feedback from both parties, and our conservancy team has been monitoring and cleaning the common corridor whenever stains are reported," said the spokesperson.
"We are also actively working with HDB to resolve their differences."
The spokesperson added that residents who experience noise disturbances between 10.30pm and 7am may contact the police at 1800-255-0000 for assistance.
If the issue remains unresolved, they may approach the Community Mediation Centre, which provides neutral and professional assistance to help resolve neighbour disputes. Where necessary, residents may also consider seeking recourse through the Community Disputes Resolution Tribunals.
"We encourage residents to remain considerate and to resolve differences in an amicable and kind manner," said the spokesperson.
'We used to be on good terms'
The irony? The Stomper said that he and the neighbour were once amicable with each other.
"We used to be on good terms, even ate together at the kopitiam," lamented the Stomper.
"When it was first installed at the start of 2024, he even said the Ring camera was good because we can see strangers who come to our corridor.
"He just snapped a year ago. I hope his relatives read this and get him the help he needs."
If the camera is the issue, why not remove it?
The Stomper said: "If I remove it now, he will think everything he did was justified and that he has won.
"The Ring camera is not illegal. It's not set up to record. He was informed of all this.
"His exact words were: 'But it's a camera, it can be hacked. Russian hackers can record me in my house.'
"Everything goes around this argument. 'But your door is never open?' 'Because you have a camera.' 'What do you have that Russian hackers want to film?' 'It's not the point. The point is they can.'
"I don't want to give in to a bully."
