Boy runs and jumps around MRT train for over 10 minutes while mum is 'glued to phone'
A commuter was frustrated after witnessing a child running and jumping around in an MRT train cabin while his mother appeared to be focused on her phone.
A Stomper shared clips of the incident that happened on Aug 3 at about 3pm on the Downtown Line.
In the videos, the boy is seen jumping in an effort to reach the handrails. At one point, one of his slippers slips off.
"The kid was running and jumping around, disturbing other passengers in the train while the mother, who was wearing black and white, was glued to her phone," the Stomper said.
"The boy was trying to get attention from his mother but she just ignored him.
"This went on for more than 10 minutes."
According to SBS Transit's website, commuters are advised not to run or play in trains for safety reasons.
