Boon Lay resident fed up with pigeons 'pooping all over and stinking up the place'
A pigeon infestation in Boon Lay has left Stomper Yap very frustrated.
He shared photos of the situation along the linkway between Block 208 Boon Lay Place and the multi-storey carpark.
Yap told Stomp: "The area is infested with pigeons. They are shitting all over the place and it is stinking.
"On top of that, there are fat cats that are well-fed by residents swarming the place, lying on top of cars, scratching motorcycle seats and using the carpark as their toilet. Guess who is the beneficiary of their leftover food?
"Can someone do something about this?"
In response to a Stomp query, West Coast Town Council said it has received prior feedback on the same matter.
"We have carried out regular cleaning, high-pressure washing, and would install anti-bird lines to prevent birds from perching on the beams," the town council added.
"We also conduct trapping and culling to manage the population and work with other relevant agencies to tackle pigeon feeding and littering.
"We will continue to monitor and manage the pigeon situation in the area."
