Beach Road eatery takes diners on 'a trip back in time' with comfort food and heartfelt service
A hidden eatery at Beach Road has won a diner over with its comforting food and warm hospitality.
Stomper Deniece visited Prince Coffee House with her family in June 2025 after a friend recommended it.
She described the eatery as a "hidden gem that warms the heart" and likened it to "a trip back in time".
"The food is incredible, but the oxtail stew is on another level. It's rich, comforting, and easily the highlight of the menu," Deniece told Stomp.

"What makes it special isn't just the food though. It's the nostalgic, old-school vibes. The personal conversation and connection. Uncle takes your order by hand with so much warmth and a personal touch that you just don't see anymore."
The Stomper said it felt like eating at a friend's home in comfort.
Prince Coffee House is a beloved old-school Hainanese-Western eatery that has been around since 1977.
Public figure Bruce Mathieu once shared a review video on his Facebook page, describing the eatery as a "rare gem with over 50 years of history".
Similarly, he said stepping into Prince Cafe feels like going back in time, calling it "one of the last old-school eateries still in existence."
Echoing the sentiment, Deniece said: "If you're looking for a good meal and a dose of nostalgia, please give them some love."
She also clarified that she gains no monetary benefit from promoting the eatery and its food, adding: "I experienced Uncle's sincerity and warmth, and if this can boost their business, I'd be more than happy."
The eatery is located at 249 Beach Road, #01-249.
