All four products are marketed as for weight loss and sold on various local e-commerce platforms, said SFA in a media release on Sept 17.
They claim to burn fat, lose weight effectively, suppress appetite, detoxify, control hunger, help digestion and accelerate metabolism.
SFA said it has worked with online e-commerce platforms to remove the listings of the products and issued warnings to the respective sellers to stop selling them with immediate effect.
Those who have purchased the implicated products should not consume it. Seek medical advice if you have consumed the implicated products and have concerns about your health.
"Consumers should also exercise caution and be mindful of the risks associated with consuming food bought from unknown or unverified sources and are advised to seek more information before making any purchase," SFA added.
The agency said it will not hesitate to take stern enforcement actions against anyone who sells and supplies unsafe food products that have been adulterated with banned and/or medicinal substances that are not allowed in food.
Offenders may be fined up to $5,000, while repeat offenders may be fined up to $10,000 and/or jailed for up to three months.
