Two women nattered away throughout a free performance at the Esplanade Concourse, ignoring the singer on stage and disrupting the surrounding audience.

The incident happened on May 22 during the Songs We Grew Up With 2025 programme, while local singer-songwriter Gabriel "Gabs" Sim was performing his set. But not everyone could enjoy the music.

Stomper Desmond, who was seated a row behind the women, said the pair were happily chatting away through three full songs.

He posted a TikTok video of the two women, showing how they did not keep their voices down despite being in a space meant for live music appreciation.

Desmond added: "Just because a show is free doesn't mean you can do whatever you like. Go talk somewhere else!"

The Stomper's video cuts to a frame with the women gone.

He wrote in the caption: "Finally we can enjoy after they left thank u (sic)."
