PMA electric fire and you - What can you do as a CFRs. For fires of this nature, the limited roles are (after ensuring personal safety) 1) Cordon off at least 10m away from the void deck, keeping onlookers and video takers away. 2) Call 995 using the myResponder app geo location, and informing of nature of fire, and which level if it is in the HDB block. 3) Provide witnessing statement to the authorities if needed. 35 residents were evacuated from Blk 482, Admiralty Link during a fire incident on 15/08/2024 2.10am involving parked PMA and bicycles. A video capturing the aftermath of the fire shows three PMAs and several bicycles parked at the bicycle bay, as well as the nearby ceiling and wall, were charred by flame and damaged by both soot and heat. The fire, which occurred at the void deck, was extinguished by SCDF using a water jet. According to statistics released by the SCDF in February 2024, fires involving active mobility devices – including PMAs – in 2023 increased by 31 per cent from a year earlier.
