78-year-old man taken to hospital after lorry skids and crashes into tree near Tiong Bahru Market
A 78-year-old man was taken to hospital after a lorry crashed into a tree outside Tiong Bahru Market on Nov 22.
Stomper Gary alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a photo of the lorry and an ambulance at the scene.
"An old fishmonger uncle was the driver and was taken by ambulance to hospital," said the Stomper.
In response to Stomp queries, the police and SCDF said they were alerted to the accident at about 1.50pm.
A police spokesperson said the lorry is believed to have self-skidded along Seng Poh Road towards Lim Liak Street.
The man was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital and is assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
