Decomposing body of man, 76, found in Jurong West flat after relative unable to contact him for several days
A 76-year-old man was found dead in a Jurong West flat on the evening of June 7.
Stomper Anonymous said his friend, who is the deceased man's grandson, sent him an "update" about the incident.
The update said: "Authorities were alerted to the situation after a concerned family member reported being unable to reach the deceased for several days.
"The last known contact with the man was on May 31."
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at Block 967B Jurong West Street 93 on June 7 at about 7pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
Found in a state of decomposition, the body is estimated to have been there for four to five days, according to the update that the Stomper received.
Stomp understands the man died of natural causes and the police are not investigating.
