The patient lived at Simei Street 1, which was an active 2-case dengue cluster that was notified on June 25.

NEA officers inspected the area, and detected and destroyed one mosquito breeding in a bamboo pole holder at Block 135 Simei Street 1.

The cluster has since closed on July 4. NEA said it will continue to conduct routine checks to look out for any potential breeding habitats of the dengue mosquito.
