65-year-old cyclist dies in Tuas accident, truck driver arrested

A 65-year-old cyclist died in an accident with a truck in Tuas on Feb 24.
The police told Stomp they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Tuas Avenue 1 and Tuas Avenue 8 at around 11am.
The male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedic.
The 43-year-old truck driver was arrested for driving without due care and attention causing death.
A video posted online shows a police tent at the accident scene. A damaged bicycle can also be seen lying on the road, which appears to be stained with blood.
Police investigations are ongoing.
