Man allegedly murdered in Yishun flat: Neighbours describe him as quiet and a 'good boy'
A 35-year-old man was allegedly murdered in a 10th-floor flat at Block 803 Yishun Ring Road on July 27.
The police said they were alerted to a call for assistance at 8.35am. Officers found the man lying motionless and he was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
A 49-year-old man was arrested at the scene and will be charged on July 28 with murder, which carries the death penalty.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both men are known to each other.
When Stomp arrived at around noon, clusters of people could be seen at the foot of Blocks 802 and 803, which face each other and are connected by a sheltered walkway.
White sheets had been put up over the parapet outside the 10th-storey flat and the staircase leading to the unit was cordoned off.

Mdm Zhang, who is in her 70s and has lived at Block 802 for three decades, said she usually wakes up at 5am and heard quarrelling at around 7am.
However, she did not think much of it as it was "quite common" to hear loud arguments in the estate.
Mdm Zhang's daughter, who lives at Block 803, described the deceased as being quiet.
She added: "He is a very quiet guy and would smile at us when (we meet) in the lift. He always greeted my husband."
A 67-year-old resident, who declined to be named, claimed to know the family of the deceased "quite well". She said the deceased was a "good boy" who kept to himself.
The Malay housewife, who has been living on the fifth storey of Block 803 for 34 years, recounted: "He always called me 'auntie'. He had been living here for more than 30 years. His parents are dead."
A police officer in gloves and boot covers was seen going up the lift of Block 803 at about 11.55am. She was holding a yellow plastic bag labelled 'waste', but its contents were unidentifiable.

At around 1.50pm, plainclothes investigators were seen conducting door-to-door inquiries on the 10th floor of Block 802.
Officers left the block with the deceased in a body bag at about 4.20pm.
Mdm Zhang's daughter said: "Screaming and shouting is very common here. It's just that we didn't expect something more serious to happen."
