21-year-old motorcyclist dies after skidding in Braddell

A man died after the motorcycle he was riding skidded in Braddell on the morning of April 23.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Braddell Road and Croucher Road at 8.15am.
A 21-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
In a video posted on Facebook group Malaysia-Singapore Border Crossers, a body covered in blue cloth can be seen on a road divider with an ambulance nearby.
Investigations are ongoing.
The number of accidents involving motorcyclists increased by 4.7 per cent in 2024, from 3,792 cases to 3,969 cases, according to the police's latest annual report on the road traffic situation here.
Although motorcycles make up only 14.7 per cent of Singapore's total vehicle population, 55.2 per cent of all traffic accidents involved motorcyclists or pillion riders in 2024, the report noted.
