12-year-old boy suffered bruising on cheek after getting hit by e-scooter in Yishun, teen arrested
A 19-year-old teenager has been arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of rash act causing hurt.
At about 11am on Mar 29, 2018, the police received a report that a 12-year-old boy had been knocked down by an e-scooter at a basketball court near Block 838 Yishun Street 81.
The victim suffered bruising and abrasion on his right cheek and bleeding around the upper right first primary molar tooth. He received immediate medical attention thereafter.
Through investigations, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division identified the teenager.
The teenager will be charged in court with rash act on Wednesday (Nov 27).
If convicted, he will face a jail term of up to one year and/or a fine of up to $5,000.
