Tomb-Sweeping Day, which starts on April 4 this year, is a time for Chinese families to visit the cemeteries of relatives with food and other offerings to pay respects to those who have departed.

Over the years, paper offerings burnt during Qing Ming Festival have evolved from just cash notes to include phone models, gaming devices and even cars.

And this year, the offerings seem to have become even more lavish.

An Instagram post by Malaysian company Moretify features new paper offerings that are rather grand.

Why settle for miniature paper models of supercars when you can burn full-sized cars, from a Rolls Royce Wraith to a Lamborghini.

For the beauty-conscious, there are paper offerings in the likeness of famous brands.

To skirt around copyright issues, the facial products with recognisable packaging is labelled SK-III while the make-up set is branded Diur.

There is also a range of Apple gadgets in paper form.

In terms of companionship, there are paper offerings in the shape of cat and dog available.

But the grandest of all is a scaled-down KTV lounge, complete with branded alcohol and mini standees of KTV hostesses.

Netizens were amused by the paper offerings, with one commenting that he would "burn the basketball court for Kobe".

American professional basketball player Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in 2020.

Instagram user @chunjiayao_ was suitably impressed. "Wow, there are so many designs for the paper offerings these days."
