Nicole Seah and her husband Bryan: Where are they now, 3 years after the alleged affair scandal?
Three years after news broke that a prominent Workers’ Party politician, Nicole Seah, stepped down from politics amid allegations of an affair with fellow party member Leon Perera, who was married at the time, many netizens are asking one curious question: Where are she and her husband now?
1. Nicole worked as manager at French multinational advertising firm
Although Nicole’s social media accounts have gone silent since 2023, screenshots of her LinkedIn page recently resurfaced on Reddit.
Based on cached Google search results, her most recently listed position was deputy general manager at Publicis Media, a French multinational advertising and public relations company.
However, her account appears to have been taken down at the time of this article.
2. Husband worked as sales manager at manufacturing company
Her husband, a Singaporean engineer who goes by Bryan, has also kept a low profile.
According to netizens, Bryan’s surname is Seah. Some online users have speculated whether he could be the man involved in the viral incident at Roxy Square, pointing to similarities between publicly available information about him and details of the case.
These included his age, a perceived resemblance to the man seen in CCTV footage and his reported ties to Australia.
While the 40-year-old’s LinkedIn profile appears to have been taken down, a screenshot of cached Google search results showed that he was listed as an APAC Regional Sales Manager at Putzmeister Asia-Pacific.
The job description on his profile said that he led an 11-member team “responsible for the design, procurement, and commissioning of a US$27M industrial water treatment plant in the South Asian region”.
The global company, which specialises in building heavy machines for moving and placing concrete, also appears to have removed Bryan from its Team Asia-Pacific page, according to a screenshot taken on the morning of Aug 18.
3. Tied the knot in 2015
Bryan was based in Australia in 2013 when he met Nicole – a former member of the Reform Party, National Solidarity Party, and Workers’ Party — who was holidaying there at the time.
According to an interview with lifestyle magazine HerWorld, Nicole said they got to know each other through their mothers.
“After spending just one day together, he ended up asking me out for the next two weeks,” Nicole told HerWorld. Bryan later downloaded WhatsApp and Skype after their meet-up, and the pair kept in touch.
“As someone who used to have a high profile in the media, I like that Bryan sees me as I really am, and doesn’t care about what others think or say,” she said.
The couple later married in 2015. Nicole described Bryan’s proposal as “HDB-style”, as both of them were “not romantic people”.
A photo of the couple at their wedding shows them holding hands and dressed in simple wedding attire.
Nicole added that Bryan “misses Singapore very much” and they were “happy to be coming home”.
It is unclear if Nicole and Bryan are still married following the alleged affair scandal in 2023.
4. Has two daughters aged eight and four
Three years after their marriage, the couple welcomed their first daughter in 2018.
In April 2022, their second daughter joined the family, which made headlines after Nicole shared an Instagram post about the happy occasion.
In the post, she added: “Our hearts have expanded and we’re so looking forward to watch both sisters grow up together”.
