# Woman gets workers to teach her how to paint HDB walls, buys them coffee after

A woman decided to lend a helping hand to workers painting the walls of an HDB block, joining them briefly before treating them to coffee.

In a TikTok video posted on Oct 13, user @mothertooty documented herself going on a little “side quest” as she approached the group of workers and asked if she could try painting.

## Helps workers paint HDB walls, buys them coffee after

The video starts with mothertooty approaching two workers painting the walls of the HDB block.

She “tries (her) luck” and asks if she can get onto the gondola, which is parked on the ground floor.

“Of course they said no, understandable,” she writes.

The video then cuts to a clip showing one of the workers demonstrating how to paint, moving a long roller brush up and down the wall.

A short while later, Mothertooty takes over and tries her hand at painting the wall. She subsequently hands the brush back to the worker and thanks him with a wide smile.

The video then cuts to mothertooty holding two cans of coffee, which she gives to the workers as a gesture of appreciation.

Seeing that the workers are ascending on the gondola, she places the cans on the floor nearby and tells them to enjoy the drinks later.

Before leaving, mothertooty bids them goodbye. “They were soo sweet,” she adds in the caption.

## Netizens touched by woman’s gesture

The video has garnered over 20,000 views and dozens of comments.

Several netizens were touched by mothertooty’s wholesome gesture.

“This is nice to see,” one user wrote.

Another netizen quipped, saying she could add the experience to her resume.

However, other netizens expressed concern that the workers could get into trouble if she ended up injured.

One commenter said the workers should not have allowed her into the cordoned-off area, adding that they could be held liable if a rope snapped or equipment fell and injured her.
