An 18-year-old cyclist is assisting with police investigations after a collision with a motorcycle in Sengkang.

The 40-year-old man on the motorbike was taken conscious to hospital after the accident on May 26, said the police.

Footage of the crash, which happened at around 12.35pm at the junction of Anchorvale Road and Sengkang East Way, shows the teen riding his bicycle across the road. He appears to be going against the traffic light, which is red.

Just as he nears the other side, the motorcycle hits the bicycle's side, sending it flying, as motorist and cyclist land more than halfway across the junction. In the aftermath, the cyclist manages to get up on his feet but the motorcyclist remains on the ground.

Police are investigating.
