A man was seen tussling with a woman over a bag before grabbing what appears to be a mobile phone from inside and running off.

A six-second clip of the incident was shared on the Complaint Singapore Facebook group by an anonymous user.

At the start of the video, the pair are seen wrestling over a brown bag. A few seconds later, the man somehow manages to reach into the bag, grabs an object from inside, and runs off.

The woman stands rooted to the ground while the man bolts.

In the accompanying caption, the user claimed that the man — referred to as “Queens Peak condo bully” — had snatched his girlfriend’s phone.

The Facebook user added that the man was “violent” before the events shown in the video.

“Video was taken as (proof), and immediately after that the police (were) called, since the girl had no phone. She gave the details of this bully to the police,” the caption read.

It is unclear when the incident happened.

## Netizens suggest it could be a cheating case

The video has since racked up more than 175,000 views, 340 reactions, and 165 comments.

The clip was also reposted on Instagram page @sgfollowsall, with the caption claiming that the woman’s belonging were thrown into a pond.

Many netizens criticised the person recording the video for not going to the woman’s aid.

“Why didn’t you help?” asked a Facebook user. “And why you only recording?” another asked.

An Instagram user said sarcastically: “Instead of helping, you decide to take video and post. Hero! Salute.”

There were those who felt the person recording the incident did the right thing, though.

“Frankly, the guy who recorded this (had) the right approach. This will serve as proof for how he treated and (robbed) her,” said a Facebook user, adding that the evidence could now be used to report the man and that there was no point fighting with him.

“You are not kaypoh. Bullying cases should be reported. Man who bully woman should be reported,” another Facebook user said.

Many netizens also speculated on what might have happened.

“She must have done something to the guy... Maybe cheating, give him wear green cap (which is an expression in the vernacular that he was cheated on),” a Facebook user guessed.

Another speculated: “Scenario: Boyfriend doesn’t trust her and he snatched her phone to check who she is communicating with. Good luck to him! Considering it as a snatch thief if she presses charges.”

Several netizens who arrived at same conclusion felt that the matter should be left to the authorities to handle.

“Lol let the police solve the issue. no point make up our story but I feel more like those China drama girlfriend do something boyfriend want to check phone,” said a Facebook user.

“Maybe he suspected his girlfriend was cheating, so he took her phone to investigate! Let them settle their own issues. We’re just the audience, not the police!” another said.

Some netizens felt that the man should not have treated the woman that way.

“Xia suay (shameful), never ever do such a thing to a woman,” said a netizen. “Confirm people slap him,” another said.

One Instagram user asked: “She is crying, why is he bullying women?
