Man shouts at SMRT staff on Choa Chu Kang LRT platform: 'You're going to become a prostitute'
A man was filmed shouting at four SMRT staff members at Choa Chu Kang LRT station, with one staff member seen covering her ears and not responding to the outburst.
Instagram user @sgnewsdaily posted a video of the commotion on Jan 21, showing a man clad in black shirt and pants yelling at staff members on the LRT platform.
"You're going to become a prostitute," he shouts repeatedly, pointing at each staff member.
One of them covers her ears amid the insults, while other staff members remain unresponsive.
Another video uploaded by TikTok user @qwe321eqw999 shows the same commuter sitting on the platform floor, gesturing at an LRT train that stopped there momentarily.
An SMRT staff member is seen patting him on his back, seemingly to calm him down.
It is unclear when the incident took place.
Stomp has reached out to qwe321eqw999 for more information.
Police investigations underway
In response to Stomp's queries, president of SMRT Trains Lam Sheau Kai said that they are aware of the incident.
The police confirm that a report has been filed and investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident on Jan 13, an elderly man and a mother were seen in a heated exchange on the MRT over a young child's behaviour. Earlier, on Dec 28, 2025, another argument arose between a bus driver and a commuter on an SMRT bus.
