'Hurry up!': Youths caught on camera climbing over school fence into compound
Two youths were caught on camera climbing over a fence into a compound, with help from a third accomplice who passed their belongings over the gate.
The one-minute video, filmed from a nearby HDB block overlooking what appears to be the back of Juying Secondary School, was posted on Nov 2.
Captioned "Trespassing into Juying Secondary School", the clip has since racked up more than 42,900 views, 1,000 reactions and 50 comments.
All three youths were dressed in sporty attire. One was already inside the school compound, shouting "Hurry up!" as another brought over a worn-out chair to help scale the bent fence, which appeared to be missing its barbed wire.
Throughout the clip, the trio could be heard laughing as they took turns climbing over. After one successfully crossed, he briefly wandered off while another helped the third person carry his belongings as he attempted to climb. The last youth appeared to struggle, prompting more laughter before the video ended.
It is unclear what happened afterwards. There is also no information on when the incident took place or whether the individuals in the video are students of the school.
'Why my school': Netizen
"Abandoned school or what," one netizen initially remarked, while another quipped, "I don't think there's anything interesting inside…"
Others quickly identified the location as their alma mater, with some amused and others expressing concern over the lack of security.
Some started questioning where the school security guard was, with one playfully replying: "Went for lunch break."
"Please do something on this," another user commented.
Some pointed out that with the barbed wire gone and the fence visibly dented, the spot looked like a "loophole" that might have been "frequently exploited", especially with the chair conveniently left nearby.
