5 hospitalised after three-car collision at Clementi junction
Five people were taken to hospital after a three-car collision at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue West and Clementi Avenue 4 in the morning of April 11.
According to police, they were a 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, a 43-year-old man, a 72-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman. SCDF said they were taken to National University Hospital.
The two men were drivers. The older man is assisting in the investigations, police said.
Police said they were alerted to the accident at about 6.25am.
A video uploaded on social media shows one of the vehicles had mounted the kerb and crashed into an MRT viaduct pillar, its airbags deployed.
A white car and a grey car, its front badly damaged, were also involved.
Traffic police officers and an SCDF vehicle are also nearby.
SCDF said a person was assessed for minor injuries, but declined to be taken to hospital.
